Pedestrian critically hurt after being hit by vehicle in Newark

A pedestrian was critically injured Friday morning in Newark after being hit by a vehicle that also struck two parked cars, authorities said.
The man was hit shortly after 6 a.m. on the 900 block of Clinton Avenue, Newark police said.
The driver stopped and spoke to police, who have not filed charges. The investigation is ongoing.
